Local Catholic Counselling Therapist
Nicole LeBlanc is a Registered Social Worker, grounded in a Catholic worldview and anthropology, who comes alongside individuals who seek to flourish.
Nicole LeBlanc discovered her vocation to serve as a helping professional early in life and has pursued that call with dedication. She began her counselling career in 2006 with Catholic Family Services Toronto before moving to Texas, where she supported families through adoption counselling. Her desire to serve the poor and vulnerable later led her to Kenya and the Philippines, working as a missionary with Christian non-profit organizations.
Returning to Toronto in 2014, Nicole continued her work in addiction and mental health services and later served for several years as a counsellor at a Catholic college, accompanying undergraduate students through a wide range of personal and spiritual challenges. She has also volunteered with pro-life and post-abortion healing ministries, served as a catechist, and contributed to outreach programs for those experiencing homelessness or financial hardship.
After welcoming her son, Nicole took a three-year hiatus from clinical work. She has now returned to the field in private practice, where she is eager to accompany individuals with diverse backgrounds and therapeutic goals.
Nicole holds a Master of Social Work with a counselling focus from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Her therapeutic approach is down-to-earth, trauma-informed, and client-centred. Originally trained in psychodynamic theory, she integrates elements of Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and CBT, and enjoys incorporating faith into the therapeutic process.
