Lauren Ogrodnick is a Catholic intern Counsellor dedicated to helping individuals, couples and families build stronger connections and find flourishing through a Catholic lens.
Lauren Ogrodnick is a Professional Counsellor dedicated to helping individuals, couples and families build stronger connections and find flourishing through a Catholic lens.
Lauren resides in rural Saskatchewan with her husband and their 7 children.
Lauren became a counsellor because she wants you to feel truly seen and known. Before she started her counselling journey, she worked as an Educational Assistant in Saskatoon. That job taught her how powerful it is to simply be present for someone and offer unconditional support. She also saw how family patterns passed down through generations can affect how we behave and grow. As a mother, she has learned valuable lessons from the work of Dr. Gordon Neufeldt and Dr. Deborah MacNamara. Lauren has finished all her coursework and has been helping clients through therapy since May 2025.
In session with Lauren you will experience an environment that recognizes the power of attachment, relationships, the therapeutic alliance, and generational factors. Techniques in session are likely to include parts work, Catholic mindfulness, Cognitive behavior, socratic dialogue, motivational interviewing, identifying emotions, and self compassion. The Catholic Christian meta-model of the person forms Lauren’s understanding of personal flourishing. Through this model she has been able to work with people from many walks of life.
Lauren’s eduction includes both homeschooling and government-run schools (as a parent and student!). She is a graduate of Thomas Aquinas College in California.
When Lauren is not sitting with clients she can be found at home caring for the needs of her family and enjoying the benefits of small town living. She enjoys a well brewed cup of coffee, crafting with her daughters (and by herself, which is less chaotic and messy), reading with her husband and children, and long walks. She has an affection for The Little Office, St. Jane de Chantal, and a growing devotion to St. Zelie Martin.
