Local Catholic Counselling Therapist
Julie Miazga is a Registered Provisional Psychologist based in Calgary, Alberta, offering therapy grounded in compassion, faith, and evidence-based care. Julie integrates the richness of Christian anthropology into her therapeutic work, supporting individuals in the healing of mind, body, and soul.
Julie completed her Masterโs degree in Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the University of Warsaw (Poland). She has additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and chronic pain rehabilitation. Her clinical work includes individual therapy and psychoeducational group facilitation with adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, workplace stress, and adjustment following disability or injury.
Guided by her Catholic faith, Julie approaches each client as a whole person - created in the image and likeness of God - with inherent dignity, purpose, and capacity for growth. She believes that psychological healing is not only about symptom relief but also about rediscovering oneโs identity, freedom, and meaning in Christ. Her practice is open to individuals of all faith backgrounds who seek a safe and supportive space to grow in emotional and spiritual well-being.
Outside of her clinical work, Julie is active in her parish community and volunteers with local mental health programs for children and adolescents. She enjoys dancing and baking, and finds joy in learning languages, traveling, and immersing herself in the beauty of diverse cultures.
