You were created for more…

Healing Is Possible.

You feel stuck. You’re looking for a therapist, but you don’t want someone who will try to indoctrinate you with ideologies that contradict your faith

You’re looking for Catholic Certified Therapists who understand, share, and integrate your faith through the entire therapy process

You’re trying to keep going, but something isn’t right.

You’re doing your best to navigate life, but beneath the surface you’re struggling with things you don’t quite know how to carry anymore. You’re tired of trying to figure everything out on your own.

You’re not alone. Others have come to CURA feeling much the same way:

  • You feel like you should be able to handle things better than you are.

  • Something between you and the people you love has become difficult.

  • You want to grow in your faith, but you’re struggling to reconcile what you feel with what you believe.

There is a place to begin again.

CURA β€” 3 Ways Catholic Counselling Goes Deeper

What If You Could Become More Than Simply Okay?

3 Ways Catholic Counselling Goes Deeper

The whole person, not just the problem.  You are more than your symptoms. We consider the psychological, relational, physical, and spiritual dimensions of a person’s life, recognizing that these dimensions are deeply interconnected. We don’t simply manage what is hurting. We strive to understand the person as a whole.

Flourishing, not mere symptom reduction.  Mental health is not merely the absence of mental suffering or about getting back to where you were. True restoration and flourishing means becoming more integrated, growing in freedom, strengthening relationships, discovering meaning, and stepping more fully into who you were created to be.

Not your grandma’s pastoral counselling.  CURA brings the depth of the Catholic tradition together with the standards of contemporary professional counselling. Every CURA counsellor has attained a Master’s degree and is professionally certified/licensed in their jurisdiction, bringing genuine clinical training and expertise to the work.

Why CURA?

Faith isn’t an add-on. It’s woven into the whole approach.

Faith integration means more than adding a prayer at the end of a session. There’s a meaningful difference between a therapist who happens to be Catholic, a therapist who is willing to respect your faith, and a counselling practice whose very fibre is formed by Catholic anthropology. At CURA, our understanding of the human person, healing, relationships, suffering, freedom, and flourishing is deeply informed by the Catholic faith.

What makes CURA different?

No waitlists.

When you decide you’re ready to seek help, you shouldn’t have to wait months to begin. CURA intentionally maintains capacity so that clients can access professional counselling when they need it.

We believe you can’t give what you don’t have.

Our counsellors are committed to their own ongoing healing and formation. They take seriously their psychological, spiritual, and human development through appropriate means such as personal therapy, spiritual direction, retreats, supervision, prayer, and continuing professional development. We believe good counsellors should be willing to do the same work they invite their clients to undertake.

Competence and fidelity both matter.

Every CURA counsellor is carefully vetted for both clinical competence and fidelity to the Catholic faith. You can trust that the person sitting across from you is not only professionally equipped to help, but understands and respects the Catholic vision that makes CURA distinctive.

Your First Appointment: What to Expect

There is a path to freedom, flourishing, and the fullness of life God intends for every person.

  1. Your Story

Your first appointment is a chance to step out of the demands of everyday life and claim a simple reality: your story matters. Your counsellor will listen carefully and strive to understand your experience.

  2. Your Hopes

Catholic Counselling is not simply about getting rid of symptoms. We’ll explore what you long for beneath them, and what they are preventing you from discovering.

  3. Your Path to Healing

Together, we’ll identify where to begin and develop a treatment plan suited to your particular needs.

  4. Walking Together

You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy is a journey, and your counsellor will accompany you along the way.
